Annual Gala
The annual gala is the highlight of Houston's Asian/Pacific Heritage Month of May. Distinguished citizens are honored, riveting entertainment is presented, and a delicious ethnic meal is shared. It is a key opportunity for the members of the Asian/Pacific American community to come together and celebrate their culture.
We usually recognize those who have made a tremendous contribution to the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in Houston, by giving The George H.W. Bush Award; Corporate Achievement Award and Community Service Award. The celebration will also include a scholarship award ceremony for deserving high school students who have made a difference in their schools and community. Our popular Dancing with The APAHA Stars theme returns with a ballroom dance-off. and a chance to win APAHA’s version of the famed mirror ball trophy. The evening includes dinner, silent auction and entertainment. Your involvement will make this event truly special and will help recognize our honorees and scholarship recipients for their work and contributions. Proceeds from the event allow APAHA to continue its mission to promote Asian American and Pacific Islander accomplishments and heritage through education, cultural awareness and celebration. We hope that you will join us in our efforts to highlight the extraordinary contributions of our honorees.
