Lunar New Year Children's Festival

As we usher in the Lunar New Year 2026, we wish everyone a year filled with boundless prosperity, vibrant health, and unbridled joy. May the spirit of the Fire Horse 🔥 🐎 ignite within us the strength, resilience, and determination to shape a brighter future for ourselves and our loved ones.

APAHA was thrilled to have been a part of the Lunar New Year celebration at the Houston Children’s Museum, distributing over 300 red envelopes containing $2, $1 bills, or chocolate gold coins. Our interactive stations, including the rattle drum craft, tattoo station, and coloring tables, brought immense delight to families, while our horse origami workshop empowered kids to create something truly their own.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Advisory Board member Alice Lee for her generous sponsorship and to Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones for the proclamation and Lunar New Year stickers. The United States Postal Service’s special Lunar New Year stamps added to the festive atmosphere. Together, we’ve set the stage for a year of limitless potential and promise.

Past event: Sunday, February 10, 2024 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
