Standing Committees
The objective of this committee is to brainstorm ideas, create policy, benefits and help the Executive Director to manage membership roster. The committee meets online quarterly and help recruiting during the events.
There are 3 membership types. The committee hosts membership meetings 3 times a year and recruitment events continuously at apaha.org/join-apaha.

Penina Partsch
Committee Chair
Penina is a warehouse manager for an art and frame gallery and works with TAPA Houston. Her memorable vacation spot was a trip with her sisters to Spain. She was raised from the time she could walk as a performer in her family’s Polynesian entertainment company.

Alan Steinberg
Committee Member
Alan Steinberg, Ph.D. is a passionate civic leader with the desire to improve the Houston community through education, advocacy, and civic action by connecting people who can turn challenges into opportunities. Alan serves as the President/CEO of the West Houston Association working with industry leaders who collaborate, educate and advocate to improve the quality of life, experience, and opportunity for 2,000,000+ people who live, work and play across the 1,000+ square mile Greater West Houston Region.
Luis M Chen
Committee Member
Luis wears many hats in helping community to thrive. He works in the IT field and founded Asian Pacific American Employee Resource Group (APA ERG) Houston Chapter at Comcast. He has a cat and he loves gardening. His favorite vacation spot was Hawaii and became a permanent resident before moving to Houston.
Rohini Malhotra
Committee Member
Rohini is an administrator at a corporation. Her most memorable vacation spots are London and Hawaii. She has a pet and loves seafood. Jazz is her favorite music genre.
Genay Byndon
Committee Member
Genay is a Community Account Professional at Comcast. Her most memorable vacation spot was Italy. She grew up with several dogs, hamsters and fish. Her favorite dish is seafood. She loves watching a law drama called Suits on USA Network. She has an interesting fact about her car, it has over 400,000 miles.
