The Asian Pacific American Heritage Association (APAHA) invites the community to a special evening honoring the remarkable achievements of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) individuals in Houston. The 34th Anniversary Gala, themed Dancing with the APAHA Stars, will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Royal Sonesta Houston. This event promises a memorable night filled with celebration, recognition, and entertainment, all while supporting APAHA’s mission to promote AAPI heritage and accomplishments.

Honoring Outstanding Contributions to the AAPI Community
Each year, APAHA recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in Houston. This year’s gala will present three prestigious awards:
The George H.W. Bush Award: Given to those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and impact within the community.
Corporate Achievement Award: Honoring businesses that have supported and advanced AAPI causes through their work and outreach.
Community Service Award: Celebrating individuals who have dedicated their time and efforts to improving the lives of others in meaningful ways.
These awards highlight the diverse ways people contribute to the community, from leadership and business innovation to grassroots service.
Celebrating Youth with Scholarship Awards
The gala also features a scholarship award ceremony recognizing deserving high school students. These young leaders have made a difference in their schools and communities through academic excellence, leadership, and service. By supporting these scholarships, APAHA helps nurture the next generation of AAPI leaders who will continue to build a stronger, more inclusive community.
